Field Engineer-Intern (Heavy Civil Construction)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States. Onsite field role.

What you will do

• Support construction project coordination alongside experienced field professionals and construction crews.
• Review and draft technical submittals, including schedules, shop drawings, and work plans.
• Monitor quality control, safety, and environmental programs.
• Assist with project layout, material procurement, logistics, and identification of long-lead items.
• Support contract administration, including budgets and change procedures, and help resolve field conflicts.
• Maintain as-built drawings and project manuals while communicating with owners, design partners, subcontractors, suppliers, and field crews.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management, or having equivalent experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify discrepancies.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for the duration of the internship and provide appropriate I-9 documentation.
• Employment visa and immigration sponsorship are not available for this position.
