Building Engineer (Westchase)

What you will do

• Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, equipment, and grounds.
• Inspect and maintain fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• Use manual and power-driven tools, meters, gauges, drain augers, and other industry-standard equipment.
• Provide concierge-style service to tenants, internal departments, and external partners.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, safety requirements, and company directives.
• Perform contract work involving landscaping, snow removal, HVAC, plumbing, and cleaning.

Requirements

• Three years of experience in commercial building operations, property management, or a related industry preferred.
• Thorough understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems.
• High school diploma, GED, or trade school diploma required.
• EPA Universal Certification required within 90 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation, ability to read plans and prints, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, and work in crawl spaces, roofs, and other confined areas.
