Lead Engineer (Building Maintenance)

Location: Miami, Florida, United States of America; onsite. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Maintain and review daily operating logs for air conditioning, fan units, utility meters, graph charts, and general complaints.
• Coordinate tenant service requests and building system work orders, prioritizing assignments and minimizing downtime.
• Conduct regular inspections, alarm testing, and preventive maintenance programs.
• Assist with annual budgets and the RFP process for budgeted projects.
• Monitor chemical treatment levels for cooling towers and boilers.
• Manage relationships with property managers, suppliers, department leaders, and Building Engineers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in building or property maintenance or engineering.
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing, energy management systems, and building mechanical equipment.
• Experience with work-order and preventive-maintenance software systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Valid driver’s license and any licenses required by the building or jurisdiction.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; flexibility to respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies.
