Principal Software Developer (SaaS)

Location: Vancouver, BC, Canada

Salary: $131,000 – $191,400

What you will do

• Lead the full software development lifecycle for high-scale cloud services.
• Contribute to the architecture evolution and platform development for Forma Data Management cloud services.
• Implement and operate cloud services using web-based technologies and industry best practices.
• Solve complex technical problems to integrate SaaS products with AutoCAD, Revit, and other hirify.global tools.
• Mentor and coach other developers, serving as a role model for code quality and automation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, preferably in SaaS or cloud-based products.
• Proficiency in web-based technologies such as Java, Go, and GraphQL.
• Experience designing and developing scalable, secure cloud services using AWS or similar platforms.
• Expertise in DevOps, CI/CD, and enterprise-level cloud operations.
• Strong experience with distributed database technologies.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Experience in big data analytics.
• Experience building and maintaining event-driven frameworks.
• Familiarity with BPMN or RPA tools (e.g., Camunda, Power Automate, or AWS Step Functions).
• Knowledge of Linux/CentOS.
