Solution Designer (Cloud/Full-Stack)

Location: Toronto, ON; work arrangement includes on-site and remote work, with the proportion discussed during the interview

What you will do

• Lead complex solution design and delivery for Banking Centre applications.
• Translate business requirements into scalable system, application, infrastructure, interface, and integration designs.
• Contribute to technology strategy and roadmaps supporting application modernization and platform consistency.
• Facilitate design reviews and collaborate with stakeholders and technology teams across the organization.
• Guide the adoption of modern practices, technologies, and thoughtful AI use to improve delivery and solution quality.
• Mentor junior designers and developers through knowledge sharing and practical problem-solving.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing large-scale enterprise applications.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JavaScript, J2EE, web services, SOAP, JSON, REST, event messaging, and API gateways.
• Hands-on expertise in microservices architecture, cloud-native design, integration patterns, and OAuth.
• Working knowledge of GitHub, Microsoft Azure, Docker, cloud development, security principles, Agile delivery, and DevOps.
• Experience leading technical design, collaborating with stakeholders, and guiding complex delivery initiatives.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and hold a valid work or study permit where applicable.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft desktop environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Azure, Red Hat OpenShift, or equivalent cloud platforms.
