Supply Chain Demand Planner

Location: Cambridge, MA, USA

Expected base salary: $88,000–$126,000 USD per year, with bonus potential and early-stage equity.

What you will do

• Build an order tracking system from placement through delivery, installation, and commissioning, with a path toward future ERP migration.
• Lead and coordinate the supply chain ERP proposal process.
• Own the long-lead item list, improve lead-time reliability, and reduce aging open orders.
• Prioritize categories for demand planning and create consumption-based demand signals.
• Size blanket orders, build a parts-on-hand model with FP&A, and provide Finance with a clear view of supply commitments.
• Coordinate delivery and capacity reviews with strategic suppliers and partner with Procurement, Facilities, Lab Operations, and Hardware & Controls on receiving and installation readiness.

Requirements

• Three to six years of experience in supply chain, demand or materials planning, or order management.
• Experience owning delivery dates end to end and coordinating suppliers, freight, and internal receiving.
• Strong spreadsheet and data skills, with the ability to translate transactional data into a supply chain view.
• Ability to prioritize what should be planned and defend those decisions.
• Comfort building a new function from the ground up, starting simply and adapting to shifting priorities.
• Position based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with Smartsheet or comparable workflow tools.
• Capital equipment installation and commissioning coordination.
• Experience with scientific instruments, lab consumables, or regulated environments.
• ERP planning module implementation involving NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Dynamics.
• Exposure to import, customs, or export control.
