Software Quality Engineer (QA Automation)

Salary: $77,400–$135,400 per year, plus incentive eligibility

What you will do

• Analyze user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and technical designs to identify testing needs, risks, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and supporting documentation.
• Design, execute, and maintain manual and automated functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory tests.
• Build reusable automation components with Playwright, Selenium, Python, or comparable technologies and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate test failures, identify root causes, document defects, validate fixes, and improve automation reliability.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product owners, and stakeholders on code reviews, testability, release readiness, and continuous quality improvement.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of relevant experience; a relevant degree is preferred.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated tests with Playwright, Selenium, Python, or comparable technologies.
• Knowledge of software testing principles, test design methodologies, software development lifecycle practices, and web application testing.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts, plus experience troubleshooting defects and analyzing test failures.
• Familiarity with Git or similar source-control systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python testing frameworks such as pytest.
• Familiarity with APIs, REST services, HTTP concepts, browser developer tools, and web application architecture.
• Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, accessibility, performance, security, or cross-browser testing.
