Senior Engineer – Battery Management Systems (BMS)

Location: Mossville, Illinois, United States; onsite five days per week. Domestic relocation is available. Travel of 20% or less is expected.

Salary: $112,710–$169,060 per year

What you will do

• Develop next-generation Battery Management System technologies supporting electrification products.
• Design and integrate high-voltage power systems and low-voltage electronic control systems.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, systems, and application engineering teams.
• Define, develop, and manage system- and component-level technical requirements.
• Evaluate PCB layouts for high-power robustness, EMC performance, and certification.
• Support root-cause analysis, product validation, testing, technical roadmaps, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Demonstrated technical excellence in electrical and electronic disciplines.
• Experience designing, building, and developing products or technologies from concept through production.
• Strong analytical thinking, communication, prioritization, and structured problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of battery systems, BMS, and energy-storage technologies.
• Availability to work onsite in Mossville five days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with power electronics, high-voltage systems, and power distribution architectures.
• Experience with CAN, Ethernet, SPI, or isoSPI communication protocols.
• Experience developing electronics validation and testing plans.
• Familiarity with systems engineering, requirements management, and product development processes.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
