What you will do

• Develop multi-axis motion control systems delivering repeatable, nanometer-scale positioning.
• Integrate optical, capacitive, inductive, and laser-based sensing technologies into closed-loop architectures.
• Design complex multi-layer PCBs featuring microcontrollers, precision ADCs/DACs, and mixed-signal circuitry.
• Develop real-time control software and embedded firmware using C, C++, Python, and IEC 61131-3 Structured Text.
• Implement motion, sequencing, and safety logic on Beckhoff PLC platforms (TwinCAT, TwinSAFE).
• Execute verification and validation plans covering motion performance, calibration, and thermal behavior.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of experience, or MS with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with servo control, actuators, encoders, and motion control systems.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and IEC 61131-3 Structured Text for industrial control.
• Extensive experience with Beckhoff PLCs, TwinCAT, TwinSAFE, and EtherCAT.
• Background in semiconductor capital equipment or advanced automation systems.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as projects require.
