Payroll Program Manager

Location: United States; remote work is available within the United States, or the role can be held from the San Francisco or New York hubs.

Annual base salary: $140,000–$202,000 USD

What you will do

• Lead global payroll initiatives from planning through implementation, including vendor transitions, new-country launches, system integrations, and process changes.
• Partner with regional Payroll teams to define requirements, manage dependencies, identify risks, and drive projects to completion.
• Collaborate with Benefits, HRIS, Accounting, People, payroll vendors, and external partners to deliver effective payroll solutions.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve payroll processes across AMER, EMEA, and, when needed, APAC.
• Support payroll processing, review, validation, troubleshooting, reconciliation, and operational coverage.
• Establish scalable program management practices, documentation, and visibility across the global payroll portfolio, using data, technology, automation, and AI where appropriate.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in global or multi-country payroll, including hands-on support across AMER and EMEA.
• Experience leading payroll implementations, vendor transitions, system integrations, international expansion, or new-country launches.
• Hands-on knowledge of payroll processing, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
• Experience working with global payroll vendors and cross-functional stakeholders; Workday experience is required.
• Strong program management, prioritization, execution, communication, and influencing skills, including the ability to drive accountability without direct authority.
• Ability to work remotely from the United States or from a Figma hub in San Francisco or New York.

• Experience in a high-growth SaaS or technology environment.
• Hands-on experience with ADP Compliance and other international payroll vendors.
• Experience supporting APAC payroll, vendor consolidation, or global payroll transformation.
• Familiarity with equity, mobility, benefits, or pension-related payroll.
• Experience using automation or AI to improve payroll processes.
