Workday Systems Engineer

Location: Hybrid role based in the Raleigh, NC or New York City office, with in-office work three days per week.

Salary: USD $102,000–$140,000 per year for work performed in the United States.

What you will do

• Own and evolve Workday configuration across HCM, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, and Time & Attendance.
• Partner with People and Recruiting stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
• Configure and support Open Enrollment, compensation cycles, merit, bonus, and equity review processes.
• Manage security configuration, troubleshoot issues, maintain data integrity, and support integrations.
• Build and maintain reports, dashboards, and calculated fields for People organization analytics.
• Evaluate Workday releases, document configurations, train HR users, and coordinate with Workday support and implementation partners.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on Workday experience, preferably across HCM, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, and Time & Attendance.
• Experience configuring Workday business processes, security roles, calculated fields, and custom reports.
• Experience partnering with HR, People, and Recruiting stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ownership of ambiguous cross-functional projects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical Workday configurations to non-technical partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with Workday integrations, including EIBs, Studio, or Core Connectors.
• Workday Pro certification or other Workday certifications.
