Manager Transportation Operations APAC (MedTech)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end transportation execution across APAC regional and inter-regional networks.
• Manage service reliability, on-time delivery, shipment prioritization, and recovery during disruptions across air, ocean, road, parcel, and multimodal modes.
• Own transportation performance, supplier governance, freight spend, cost management, and productivity initiatives.
• Develop contingency plans and lead risk mitigation for geopolitical events, capacity constraints, weather impacts, labor actions, and network interruptions.
• Optimize transportation networks, standardize SOPs and governance frameworks, and lead Control Tower and operational excellence initiatives.
• Support new product introductions, lane activation, network changes, quality compliance, and transition to steady-state operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in transportation, logistics, supply chain, or related operations.
• Strong experience managing international transportation operations across Asia Pacific in a global, matrixed environment.
• Experience with air, ocean, road, parcel, and multimodal transportation networks, including carriers, freight forwarders, 3PLs, 4PLs, and customs partners.
• Strong analytical, financial, stakeholder management, negotiation, communication, change leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of quality, regulatory, customs, trade compliance, product handling, storage, and temperature-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or another highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of Incoterms, temperature-controlled logistics, TMS, ERP platforms, Control Tower solutions, visibility tools, and transportation analytics.
• Experience with sourcing events, network optimization, transformation programs, and new product launches.
• Lean Six Sigma, APICS, PMP, or equivalent professional certification.
