Transportation Analyst (1 Year Contract) (Supply Chain and Logistics)

Location: Singapore, Singapore; onsite five days a week

Manufacturer of construction and mining equipment, engines, industrial gas turbines, and locomotives with a global dealer and logistics network.

What you will do

• Provide secondary leadership and operational coverage for transportation operations.
• Manage shipment exceptions for Asia-Pacific airfreight and coordinate timely resolutions with internal teams and service providers.
• Audit air, ocean, and trucking invoices for billing accuracy and compliance with SOX controls.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, maintain discrepancy logs, track credits and debits, and submit approved invoices for payment.
• Maintain transportation rate data, report billing accuracy KPIs, and lead root cause corrective actions.
• Manage Singapore freight payable activities, including month-end reporting, accruals, forecasting, spend analysis, and procurement support.

Requirements

• Experience or equivalent knowledge in supply chain and logistics operations, including transportation, contracting, and traffic management.
• Strong analytical skills and knowledge of analytical techniques for identifying root causes and developing practical solutions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong organization, self-motivation, discipline, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
• Digital systems experience such as Power BI, Copilot, or SAP is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience using LEAN methodology to improve invoice audit processes, reduce freight costs, or shorten transit lead times.
