Medical Assistant Dermatology Floating/Various Locations Part-Time (Dermatology)

Location: 25 N. Third Street, Suite 100, Geneva, Illinois; floating across various clinic locations

Salary: USD 19.75–25.68 per hour

What you will do

• Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, update medical information, and support efficient patient flow.
• Assist physicians and other licensed staff with dermatology procedures, including ECGs, venipuncture, immunizations, specimen collection, and CLIA-waived testing.
• Prepare, disinfect, sterilize, and stock examination rooms, equipment, instruments, vaccines, medications, and supplies.
• Communicate professionally with patients and the care team in person and by phone while safeguarding confidentiality.
• Perform specialty-related delegated procedures and follow clinic opening, closing, safety, and inventory procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current certification as a CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or NRCMA, or written proof of eligibility to take an accepted certification exam.
• American Heart Association-accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification required.
• Certification must be attained within six months of employment, with up to two test attempts, as a condition of employment.
• Zero to two years of relevant experience and strong computer skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Geneva and float across various clinic locations.

Nice to have

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
• One to two years of ambulatory care experience.
• Experience with electronic medical records.
