Medical Assistant, Certified - Family Practice - Medford

Location: 101 Main Street, Suite 214, Medford, MA 02155, United States. Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m.; may occasionally cover satellite locations.

Salary: $24.00–$28.80 per hour, based on full-time equivalent.

What you will do

• Coordinate patient flow, room utilization, provider availability, and communication of delays.
• Prepare patients, examination rooms, and medical records for pediatric, adult, and geriatric visits.
• Record vital signs, pain levels, medication information, clinical histories, and patient identifiers.
• Assist providers and nursing staff with examinations, treatments, procedures, specimen collection, and immunizations.
• Perform point-of-care testing, equipment quality checks, referrals, prior authorizations, and diagnostic procedure coordination.
• Support billing documentation, electronic medical record scanning, supply management, quality improvement, telephone coverage, and onboarding of new assistants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical Assistant national certification attestation from AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA.
• Basic Life Support certification, or ability to obtain it within three months.
• At least two years of Medical Assistant experience; the role profile describes a senior-level position.
• Ability to read, write, and spell in English for documentation and message taking.
• Ability to work on site, stand and walk for extended periods, lift 30–35 pounds occasionally, and follow universal precautions and HIPAA requirements.

Nice to have

• Three years of Medical Assistant experience.
