Environmental Health and Safety Manager

Location: San Diego, California, United States; onsite role

Salary: $93,323–$164,120 annually, with a potential annual or quarterly bonus and possible shift premium.

What you will do

• Lead daily health, safety, industrial hygiene, emergency response, environmental, and security support for facility personnel.
• Assess workplace hazards, establish written guidelines, and implement risk-control practices.
• Conduct EHS inspections and audits, investigate incidents, and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees and contractors while supporting a proactive safety culture.
• Manage hazardous waste, stormwater, air emissions, industrial wastewater pretreatment, and other environmental compliance programs.
• Maintain the Environmental Management System and support ISO 14001 certification, KPI reporting, workers’ compensation, and return-to-work programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Environmental Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressive EHS program management experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
• Strong presentation, facilitation, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must comply with US export-control requirements, including ITAR, EAR, and OFAC procedures; access to ITAR products and related technical data is restricted to US citizens and US permanent residents.
