EHS&S Specialist (Manufacturing)

Location: Moses Lake, Washington, United States; onsite at a 24/7 manufacturing facility

Base pay: $85,000–$108,000 per year

What you will do

• Develop, update, and implement sitewide EHS&S policies, standards, work instructions, training materials, and compliance programs.
• Perform chemical, equipment, and employee exposure assessments covering physical and chemical hazards, noise, and airborne contaminants.
• Lead and support inspections, audits, near-miss reporting, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking.
• Research federal, state, and local regulations and maintain audit-ready EHS&S records and documentation.
• Analyze safety and near-miss trends and build risk-reduction measures into plant operating systems.
• Serve as a Safety Officer on the Emergency Response Team and participate in designated on-call rotations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Health, Chemistry, or a related science discipline preferred.
• At least 2 years of hands-on EHS&S program support experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, advanced materials, or another industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state-level EHS regulations, including LOTO, Hazard Communication, Industrial Hygiene, and Confined Space requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, time-management, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and EHS management software or databases.
• Ability to work onsite in a PSM-covered manufacturing facility, participate in emergency response and on-call duties, pass a medical evaluation and respirator fit test, and use required PPE.

Nice to have

• ASP certification or relevant safety, HAZWOPER, or Emergency Response Team certifications.
