EHS Professional - Construction

Location: Moscow, Idaho, United States; onsite construction and facility project support.

Salary: $89,400–$134,100 per year.

What you will do

• Provide EHS guidance during construction planning, design reviews, contractor selection, and field execution.
• Conduct project site inspections and audits for compliance with SEL requirements, OSHA construction standards, environmental regulations, and applicable construction standards.
• Review contractor safety programs, site-specific safety plans, Job Hazard Analyses, permits, and work activities.
• Monitor high-risk work including excavation, confined space entry, fall protection, lockout/tagout, energized work, crane operations, and hot work.
• Lead or support construction incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.
• Track EHS metrics, contractor performance, inspection findings, environmental compliance, training, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting construction, facility expansion, renovation, or capital improvement projects.
• Knowledge of OSHA construction standards under 29 CFR 1926 and applicable EHS regulations.
• Experience evaluating contractor safety programs and managing contractor EHS performance.
• Strong hazard recognition, risk assessment, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, climb stairs unassisted, and lift and carry up to 40 pounds.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHST, OHST, or similar credentials.
• Experience with large-scale construction in active manufacturing or operational environments.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, contractor management systems, permit-to-work programs, and environmental permitting.
• Experience facilitating safety culture and continuous improvement programs.
