Staff Infrastructure Engineer (Mainframe)

Location: Springdale, Arkansas, United States; on-site role

Base pay: $129,000–$215,000 annually

What you will do

• Maintain, enhance, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, networks, mainframe systems, and related infrastructure.
• Deploy and configure infrastructure components while ensuring reliability, scalability, security, and compliance.
• Support Tyson mainframe teams, application groups, operations teams, and service-provider support teams.
• Develop automation scripts, policies, procedures, and guidelines to improve deployment efficiency and optimize mainframe resources and costs.
• Document architecture, requirements, configurations, procedures, troubleshooting guidance, and technical solutions.
• Generate ServiceNow tickets and coordinate with internal and external auditing groups during security verification.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant practical mainframe experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience; Computer Science or Computer Engineering preferred.
• Strong knowledge of networking, security architecture, systems design, performance engineering, data modeling, and database design.
• Ability to resolve complex mainframe issues, communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and produce clear business-friendly documentation.
• Experience with mainframe technologies such as RACF, DB2, IMS, CICS, TSO, JCL, MQSeries, JES2/SDSF, DFSMS, and related tools is preferred.
