Project Engineer

What you will do

• Coordinate project engineering activities, including shop drawing and submittal reviews, material ordering, sequencing, and resolution of layout or drawing discrepancies.
• Support civil and concrete estimating through quantity takeoffs, estimates, proposal development, and subcontractor scope and pricing.
• Assist with project planning, construction means and methods, schedules, subcontractor coordination, and field execution.
• Support project superintendents, craft foremen, project managers, and assistant project managers with day-to-day coordination and subcontractor or vendor commitments.
• Estimate and document extra work, owner contract changes, and project cost updates.
• Maintain RFIs, submittals, safety forms, drawing logs, material logs, equipment logs, time and material tickets, and look-ahead schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related coursework, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.
• Employment visa sponsorship or sponsorship takeover is not available.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and background screening is required.

Nice to have

• One or more years of experience in construction or a related field.
