Project & Construction Co-Op/ Intern

Location: On-site in Rochester, NY and/or Rush, NY, with travel between job sites, shop locations, and client facilities as required.

Salary: $20.00–$30.00 per hour, plus potential incentive compensation and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Support Project and Construction Managers with field installation and shop fabrication projects.
• Track schedules, milestones, budgets, deliverables, and potential project issues.
• Participate in site walk-throughs and inspections focused on progress, quality, and safety.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, engineers, skilled trades, and field personnel.
• Document project progress through photos, reports, meeting notes, punch lists, and organized records.
• Support safety, quality, commissioning, and project closeout activities.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Construction Management or related college program.
• Familiarity with project scheduling or construction management software such as MS Project or Procore, plus CAD tools.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic understanding of construction and workplace safety practices; OSHA awareness is beneficial.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work safely on-site in active construction and fabrication environments, including extended standing or walking, stairs, ladders, uneven surfaces, and occasional lifting of 25–40 pounds.

Nice to have

• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Previous co-op, internship, or relevant project experience.
• OSHA awareness or prior exposure to construction safety practices.
