Field Leader Electric Operations - Line

Location: Monticello, Indiana operating headquarters; work is field-based and requires legal authorization to work in the United States.

Salary: $96,600–$144,900 per year

What you will do

• Lead employees and contractors supporting transmission and distribution electric system emergencies, maintenance, and asset improvement projects.
• Promote safe work practices, ensure compliance with safety procedures, and maintain a visible leadership presence at work sites.
• Coach, develop, train, and evaluate front-line employees while facilitating communication across the organization.
• Coordinate work plans, resources, operating and maintenance budgets, and capital budgets with internal and external stakeholders.
• Direct field damage assessment and electric outage restoration while responding through established incident command and storm recovery structures.
• Troubleshoot equipment, process, and system issues and ensure work meets company standards, regulations, and procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of emergency decision-making, on-the-job safety, compliance requirements, and basic electrical concepts.
• Ability to motivate stakeholders, organize work, coach employees, and use operational technologies.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Availability for rotating standby, shift work, regional standby rotations, additional hours, and occasional out-of-town or overnight travel.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Four or more years of experience in the electric industry, utilities, or skilled trades.
• Demonstrated leadership experience.
• Project Management Professional, Certified Safety Professional, or Professional Engineer certification.
