Operations Manager (Natural Gas Pipelines)

Location: Onsite in Eden, New York, with operational coverage across New York and Pennsylvania

Salary: USD $143,000–$173,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily operations of natural gas pipeline facilities, compressor stations, meter stations, high-pressure pipelines, and interconnect assets.
• Lead four Operations Supervisors and an Administrative Specialist across an operating area of approximately 42 personnel.
• Plan staffing, workloads, budgets, operational goals, maintenance activities, and long-range area plans.
• Oversee contractors, facility inspections, right-of-way activities, leases, permits, and protection of company property.
• Coordinate with departments, customers, governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and emergency responders.
• Lead safety, emergency response, severe-weather planning, compliance, and regulatory activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor's degree in engineering or business management is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience in pipeline system operations, maintenance, and/or engineering is highly desirable.
• Current, valid state driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are required.
• Knowledge of gas pipeline operations, maintenance, engineering practices, DOT CFR 192, environmental regulations, FERC restrictions, and EPA air-permit compliance.
• Strong leadership, analytical, organizational, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to inspect facilities in varying weather conditions, wear required PPE, travel as needed, and respond to after-hours, weekend, holiday, and emergency issues.
