Hardware Technical Program Manager (Autonomous Vehicles)

Location: Mountain View, California, United States; presence in the Mountain View office is required. Some travel is expected.

Salary: $125,000–$190,000 USD annual base salary for the SF/Silicon Valley location, plus equity, bonus, and benefits.

What you will do

• Create technical execution roadmaps across engineering teams and track feature dependencies.
• Manage development and integration of the hardware platform, maintaining stability and performance at scale.
• Define program schedules, milestones, resource allocation, and execution status.
• Coordinate hardware, software, systems, and operations teams to deliver cross-functional programs on time and to quality standards.
• Prioritize risks, issues, and dependencies, removing barriers and communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders.
• Develop tools and processes to improve manufacturing productivity and support hardware lifecycle, safety clearance, and test operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Technical Program Management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• Experience managing fast-paced initiatives with multiple stakeholders, complex schedules, and competing priorities.
• Experience in automotive or trucking; hardware programs for autonomous vehicles are a strong advantage.
• Experience in a startup environment managing hardware projects through manufacturing at scale.
• Expertise with project management tools such as Linear, Jira, Smartsheet, or Lucidchart, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
