Lead Platform Engineer (Data & AI)

Location: Chicago, United States — 550 Van Buren

Base salary: $155,000–$175,000 per year; total estimated compensation including annual incentive: $178,250–$218,750.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, configuration, standardization, and administration of Azure DevOps environments across multiple client engagements.
• Coordinate Salesforce workflow platform enhancements, including requirements gathering, backlog prioritization, sprint planning input, UAT, and deployments.
• Design and maintain AI-powered solutions and Claude AI projects, including prompt workflows, automation pipelines, prototypes, and scalable operational processes.
• Coordinate Microsoft Fabric client onboarding, environment configuration, reporting foundations, and data integration activities.
• Provide architecture guidance for Power BI data models, reporting solutions, and data pipeline dependencies.
• Maintain technical documentation and operational standards while mentoring team members and contributing to the internal Tech Committee.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps, cloud operations, or technical systems roles, preferably in professional services, consulting, or managed services.
• Hands-on Azure DevOps administration experience, including pipelines, work items, governance, reporting, and multi-project management.
• Working knowledge of Salesforce administration, platform capabilities, or development coordination.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or related cloud data platforms such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, or Databricks.
• Experience designing or supporting AI and LLM solutions, including prompt engineering, workflow automation, or integrations with Claude, OpenAI, or comparable platforms.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across internal stakeholders, development teams, and clients.

Nice to have

• Managed Services, consulting, or client delivery experience.
• Microsoft certifications in Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Power Platform, or related technologies.
• Experience with Salesforce Flows, Process Builder, scripting with Python, JavaScript, or PowerShell, and enterprise AI governance.
• Experience with Power BI architecture and administration, technical standards, governance committees, or mentoring.
