Senior Staff Engineer - Java / Test Engineering & Applied AI (Hybrid)

Annual salary: $130,000–$260,000

What you will do

• Own architecture and technical direction for a medium-to-large cross-functional product or platform capability.
• Lead multi-team technical roadmaps, reusable engineering standards, platform adoption, and stakeholder alignment.
• Design and deliver large-scale services, microservices, AI-augmented workflows, and intelligent enterprise services.
• Define automated testing strategy across unit, contract, integration, end-to-end, performance, and related practices.
• Apply AI to test generation, coverage analysis, failure triage, root-cause analysis, synthetic data, and regression assistance with appropriate governance.
• Coach Staff and Senior engineers, sponsor communities of practice, and communicate technical strategy to technology and business leaders.

Requirements

• 10+ years of full-stack development experience with Java, C#, Python, Go, or similar object-oriented technologies.
• 6+ years of architecture and technical direction experience across multiple teams.
• 2+ years shipping LLM, generative AI, or intelligent automation capabilities in production.
• Extensive experience with SaaS platforms, microservices, API and event-driven patterns, GraphQL, gRPC, Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers.
• Deep automated testing and test engineering experience, including AI-assisted testing, test data management, evaluation, regression testing, security, observability, and governance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or experience.
