Sr. Staff Software Engineer (Gen AI)

Salary: USD 180,000–200,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead modernization across related systems by defining scalable architectures, secure integration patterns, and migration plans.
• Turn ambiguous technical and business problems into delivery plans, coordinate dependencies, and remove blockers from prototyping through production.
• Build critical components and prototypes, lead design and code reviews, and solve complex problems spanning multiple services and teams.
• Evaluate SaaS, low-code/no-code, and custom solutions based on business value, integration, maintainability, and total cost of ownership.
• Guide practical Gen AI pilots and assess output quality, data handling, reliability, and cost.
• Improve testing, observability, reliability, incident response, technical standards, and mentoring across engineering teams.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience and technical leadership across multiple teams.
• Hands-on cloud-native architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, including serverless and event-driven systems.
• Experience designing, building, and operating secure, scalable distributed systems and modernizing legacy applications.
• Strong coding, system design, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience evaluating SaaS and low-code/no-code platforms and understanding Gen AI capabilities and limitations.
• Experience mentoring senior engineers and influencing technical direction without formal authority.

Nice to have

• Full-stack experience across backend, frontend, cloud, and infrastructure.
• Experience with SQL, NoSQL, Kafka or Kinesis, Redis or ElastiCache, DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure as code.
• Practical experience delivering Gen AI solutions or integrating AI services into business workflows.
• Experience in media, entertainment, digital platforms, or modernization environments.
