Architect of Data Architecture

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States. Applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer. Visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Base salary: $114,000–$165,300 per year, with eligibility for a bonus program.

What you will do

• Shape solution architectures with enterprise architects, senior architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.
• Document target-state and reference architectures, technology roadmaps, dependencies, reusable patterns, and architecture decisions.
• Design and support modernization and migration of complex systems to scalable, secure, and cost-optimized cloud architectures.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, including Generative AI and advanced analytics, and translate experiments into practical delivery patterns.
• Establish architectural standards, governance, security, resilience, scalability, and integration practices.
• Guide full-stack development teams through solution design and implementation to improve long-term performance and cost outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience delivering data-intensive solutions in data engineering, analytics engineering, data platforms, BI, or related fields.
• At least 1 year owning solution design for moderately complex initiatives as an architect, senior engineer, or technical lead.
• Expertise in data and cloud architecture, with AWS preferred, and experience with platforms such as Snowflake or Redshift.
• Knowledge of architecture frameworks, performance optimization, availability, caching, monitoring, scalability, security, and governance.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with ETL/ELT orchestration, data quality, batch and near-real-time pipelines, Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or comparable distributed compute.
• API-first data access, event-driven integration, API governance, versioning, and security experience.
• Data security, privacy, encryption, masking, tokenization, access controls, and auditability experience.
• FinOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, Kubernetes or EKS, and cloud performance optimization experience.
• Applied AI and GenAI, Java, microservices, third-party API integration, or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
