Senior CNC Machinist (CNC Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Set up and operate 3- and 5-axis CNC machines, including Zimmerman and HAAS mills and lathes.
• Machine billet and non-traditional stock such as 3D prints, foam, and castings.
• Collaborate with engineering on real-time DFM feedback and rapid design iteration.
• Perform in-process and post-process inspections of molds, tooling, and final parts using standard metrology tools.
• Work across R&D prototypes and low-rate production runs, occasionally using LFAM 3D printers and hybrid manufacturing workflows.
• Coordinate with engineering, composites, inspection, and operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup, tooling, and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience operating 5-axis gantry mills.
• Strong knowledge of G and M code and CNC operations.
• Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work hands-on in a production environment.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, defense, motorsport tooling, or mold making.
• Experience with complex or non-rectangular stock, Siemens or HAAS controllers, and both R&D and production environments.
• Exposure to 3D printers, hybrid additive-subtractive workflows, or LFAM.
• CAM experience with Tebis, Fusion, or ESPRIT.
• CAD familiarity with NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
