Piping Designer 3 (CAD/3D Design)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Charlotte, NC; Greenville, SC; and Marietta, OH. Periodic approved visits to client sites and plant locations are required.

Salary: $83,680–$125,520 per year.

What you will do

• Develop accurate piping designs, layouts, models, drawings, and specifications using CAD and 3D design tools.
• Interpret engineering documents, vendor drawings, technical specifications, and multidisciplinary inputs.
• Perform material take-offs to support budgeting and procurement.
• Guide CAD personnel and coordinate design work with engineering and construction disciplines.
• Visit client sites and plants to collect field data, validate assumptions, inspect conditions, and resolve technical issues.
• Support technical reviews, design verification, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Proficiency with CAD applications and 3D design software.
• Knowledge of piping design practices, engineering terminology, materials, and equipment specifications.
• Ability to interpret technical and client documentation and apply design standards.
• Organizational, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical associate degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive piping design or related engineering experience.
