Claim Specialist - Property Field Inspection

Location: Edmond, Oklahoma, United States. Remote-field work from home with a mobile office/vehicle, in-person appointments within the assigned service territory, and occasional travel to other territories. Candidates should reside within the listed Edmond-area ZIP codes and be able to work flexible, overtime, or irregular hours.

Salary: $63,089.65–$90,000 annually, plus potential incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Conduct on-site inspections and assess residential and commercial property damage.
• Investigate and adjust personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
• Gather evidence, document findings, estimate damages, and prepare detailed reports.
• Evaluate coverage and policy terms while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Communicate with policyholders, agents, and other parties throughout the claims process.
• Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits.

Requirements

• Residence within the assigned Edmond, Oklahoma service territory is required.
• Valid driver's license required; a Motor Vehicle Record check and background check are part of pre-employment screening.
• Ability to investigate problems, interpret policies, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisions.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, and customer-service skills.
• Proficiency with mobile and desktop tools for documenting claims in the field and remotely.
• Physical ability to walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb ladders, traverse roofs, lift and carry equipment, and crawl in tight spaces.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, business, construction management, or a related field.
• Customer service experience and knowledge of property insurance and claim handling.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction, building materials, water mitigation, and inspection processes.
• Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactContents.
