Field Claims Specialist II - Property Contents NEX (Property Claims)

Location: California, covering Northern California; ideal location is Sacramento, CA. Work from home with day travel to policy locations 3–4 days per week, up to 50% travel, including possible overnight travel and catastrophe-site assignments. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates living more than 50 miles outside the ideal location.

Salary: $62,500–$93,500 expected starting range; $62,500–$115,500 national range annually.

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate moderate to severe property contents losses through onsite and virtual inspections.
• Meet with customers or representatives, inventory damaged contents, research pricing, and prepare estimates.
• Determine policy coverage, adjust reserves, and resolve claims in accordance with company guidelines.
• Coordinate with vendors on cleaning, restoration, and replacement of damaged contents.
• Partner with Special Investigation Unit and Subrogation teams to identify fraud and recovery opportunities.
• Mentor less experienced claims associates and support training and presentations.

Requirements

• Three to five years of related property claims experience; five years of insurance field or property claims experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with Xactimate, property estimating, automated claims systems, and writing estimates independently.
• Construction experience in residential work, roofing, remodeling, or water mitigation.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, coverage application, property damage investigation, settlement, and local repair pricing.
• Strong customer service, analytical, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required; willingness to work irregular hours, travel overnight, and respond to catastrophe assignments required.
