Property Claims Adjuster II (Property)

Location: Work from home within the Midland-Odessa or Lubbock and surrounding areas in Texas, with day travel to policy locations an average of 3–4 days per week and occasional overnight travel.

Salary: $62,500–$93,500 expected starting range; $62,500–$115,500 national range.

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve moderate to severe property damage claims by phone and through face-to-face inspections.
• Determine policy coverage, apply claims practices, and manage claim reserves from opening through closure.
• Prepare repair requirements, cost estimates, severe incident reports, and other claims documentation using claims systems.
• Conduct onsite and virtual inspections, including rooftop inspections, and maintain knowledge of local repair procedures and market pricing.
• Partner with Special Investigations and Subrogation teams to identify fraud and recovery opportunities and support litigation files.
• Provide clear, professional service to policyholders, claimants, repair professionals, attorneys, agents, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must live in the Midland-Odessa or Lubbock and surrounding areas in Texas.
• Three to five years of property claims handling or adjusting experience.
• Solid Xactimate experience and the ability to write estimates and handle claims from start to finish.
• Residential construction experience, including roofing, remodeling, or water mitigation.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and the ability to travel, work irregular hours, and respond to catastrophes.
• Ability to safely climb ladders and inspect rooftops, including first- and second-story roofs with pitches up to 8/12.

Nice to have

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Customer service experience involving flexible schedules and extended work hours.
• State claims licensing and completion of applicable claims certification or training.

Hiring process
