Field Property Contents Claims Specialist II (Midwest / Southeast / Northeast / West - WFH)

Location: Work from home with day travel to policy locations 3–4 days per week. Candidate locations are limited to Iowa, Illinois, Michigan, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, California, and Arizona. Travel may include surrounding states, overnight trips, and catastrophe sites.

Salary: $62,500–$115,500 annually. Expected starting salary: $62,500–$93,500.

What you will do

• Investigate and evaluate moderate to severe property losses, focusing on damaged contents.
• Meet with customers or representatives to inventory damaged contents and research replacement pricing.
• Determine policy coverage, adjust reserves, and resolve claims within delegated authority and company guidelines.
• Coordinate with vendors on cleaning, restoration, and replacement of damaged contents.
• Partner with Special Investigation Unit and Subrogation teams to identify fraud and recovery opportunities.
• Conduct onsite and virtual inspections, including catastrophe assignments, and mentor less experienced claims associates.

Requirements

• Three to five years of property claims handling or adjusting experience.
• Experience with Xactimate, content inventory, pricing, repair, and mitigation.
• Residential construction, remodeling, or water mitigation experience.
• Knowledge of insurance practices, policy coverage, property estimating, claims investigation, and settlement.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record and willingness to travel, work irregular hours, and support catastrophe operations.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience; state licensing and required claims certification training where applicable.
