IT Systems Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: US, Remote; up to 15% travel may be required.

Salary: $142,000–$162,000 annually, plus equity in the form of stock options.

hirify.global is a remote cybersecurity company developing the NodeZero platform for autonomous penetration testing and security assessments.

What you will do

• Administer and secure Okta or an equivalent identity and SSO platform, including authentication policies, access provisioning, and application integrations.
• Manage cloud email and collaboration security, including mail flow, anti-phishing and anti-spam controls, SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and data loss prevention.
• Operate, monitor, and respond to incidents involving identity, email, network, and firewall security controls.
• Administer enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless access points.
• Design network changes such as VLANs, routing, and firewall rules with minimal business disruption.
• Document architecture and configurations, manage vendors, and collaborate with Security and Help Desk teams on escalated issues and workforce onboarding or offboarding.

Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with an identity or SSO platform such as Okta.
• Experience administering Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, or a similar cloud email and collaboration platform.
• Experience configuring SPF, DKIM, DMARC, anti-phishing, anti-spam, and email security controls.
• Production experience administering enterprise switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and network monitoring tools.
• Working knowledge of network segmentation, firewall policy management, VPN architecture, incident response, and complex connectivity troubleshooting.
• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, identity or security engineering, or network administration, plus experience supporting a distributed or remote-first workforce.

Nice to have

• Security+, CCNA, CCNP, or Okta certifications.
• Experience with SASE, SSE, or Zero Trust network architecture.
• Experience automating identity, network, or email security tasks with Python, PowerShell, or similar scripting.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity companies.
