What you will do

  • Support the enterprise vulnerability management program across infrastructure, endpoints, applications, cloud environments, and network devices.
  • Develop vulnerability scanning strategies, schedules, configurations, coverage metrics, and operating procedures.
  • Analyze scan results and threat intelligence to validate findings, assess exploitability and business impact, and prioritize risk-based remediation.
  • Coordinate remediation activities with infrastructure, application, cloud, network, business, and third-party teams.
  • Provide guidance on remediation options, compensating controls, exception requests, risk acceptance, and remediation validation.
  • Integrate vulnerability management data with asset management, ticketing, SIEM, GRC, reporting, and other security platforms while developing automation and executive-level risk reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, equivalent experience in lieu of a degree, or a master’s degree with three years of experience.
  • Typically five or more years of related experience.
  • At least one required certification, such as GIAC, CCNP, or SANS level 300 coursework.
  • Knowledge of secure systems architecture, emerging technologies, emerging threats, or emerging regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with vulnerability assessment, risk prioritization, remediation coordination, asset discovery, authenticated scanning, and vulnerability data quality management.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance is preferred.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, or equivalent vulnerability management platforms.
  • Knowledge of CVE, CVSS, CWE, CISA KEV, and related threat intelligence sources.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP, GIAC, or a vulnerability-management certification.
  • Technical leadership, communication, analytical, project management, and mentoring skills.
