Cybersecurity Engineer - US Federal

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid work with at least 50% of each quarter spent in the office or in the field

Base salary: $130,200–$195,400 USD annually for the primary location; additional U.S. locations range from $117,800–$210,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Build cybersecurity capabilities for a new air-gapped classified cloud environment supporting U.S. Government customers.
• Perform vulnerability management, incident response, threat hunting, and threat detection.
• Deploy, monitor, and manage systems in AWS or Microsoft Top Secret clouds.
• Build and maintain investigation and response tools, including SIEM and SOAR solutions.
• Coordinate with customers and Cyber Defense teams to align security practices across environments.
• Prioritize vulnerability remediation and manage multiple security projects alongside operational responsibilities.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required because the role supports direct or indirect U.S. Federal Government contracts.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance is required; TS/SCI with CI Poly is preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in technical security consulting, security operations, incident response, vulnerability management, threat detection, or threat hunting.
• At least 2 years of hands-on technical leadership experience.
• Experience with platform, application, cloud, network, and container security, as well as adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
