Security Engineer IV (AI/LLM Security)

Location: US — work from home

Salary: $119,583.00–$175,388.40 per year, depending on geographic market, knowledge, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include annual bonuses or incentives, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

What you will do

• Architect and own end-to-end delivery of complex security initiatives across multiple domains, including AI/LLM security programs.
• Set technical direction, lead design reviews, and mentor junior and mid-level security engineers.
• Lead investigations and root-cause analysis for complex security incidents, including intrusions, fraud, and data leaks.
• Own security review processes for AI vendor tools and APIs such as Gemini and Vertex AI.
• Contribute to compliance-audit and risk-assessment standards and participate in the security incident on-call and escalation rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
• 6–9 years of security experience with significant project ownership.
• 4–6 years of hands-on experience architecting security controls and leading risk assessments.
• At least 1 year of informal engineering mentorship or design-review leadership.
• Advanced expertise in compliance regulations, IT risk management, GRC, cloud security architecture, incident investigation, and AI security threat models.
• Must be based in the United States for this work-from-home position.

Nice to have

• Advanced security certification such as CISSP or CISM.
• Deep experience securing AI vendor tools and APIs, including Gemini and Vertex AI, in regulated environments.
