TL;DR

Cyber Security Engineer (AI): Designing, building, and operating large-scale cloud-native security platforms and AI-driven security workflows with an accent on multi-cloud engineering, automation, and threat detection. Focus on building autonomous agents, implementing policy-as-code and infrastructure-as-code, and reducing time-to-detect and time-to-remediate across enterprise environments.

Location: US - Foster City, CA; hybrid position with office attendance determined by the hiring manager

Salary: $180,600–$289,300 USD per year, plus potential bonus and equity

What you will do

Design, build, and operate large-scale cyber security platforms for detection, prevention, and response across cloud and hybrid environments.
Develop Python-based, API-first security services and integrations connecting SIEM, CSPM, CNAPP, IAM, network security, and threat intelligence platforms.
Build GenAI-powered workflows and autonomous agents for cloud misconfiguration analysis, policy validation, threat triage, alert summarization, and remediation.
Engineer cloud security controls, infrastructure-as-code, policy-as-code, GitOps promotion pipelines, drift detection, and secure remote state management across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.
Automate threat intelligence ingestion, signal enrichment, risk scoring, and incident response to reduce time-to-detect and time-to-remediate.
Lead technical design discussions, proof-of-concepts, production adoption, project planning, and technical mentoring.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience with an advanced degree or PhD.
Strong cloud security engineering experience in large-scale multi-cloud enterprise environments and expert-level certification in at least one major cloud platform.
Experience building production-grade GenAI solutions and autonomous agents for cloud security or security operations.
Strong Python or Go programming skills, with expertise in infrastructure-as-code, automation, GitOps, policy-as-code, and enterprise guardrails.
Experience with threat management, vulnerability management, cloud security posture management, POCs, end-to-end implementation, and production transition.
Strong communication, collaboration, and technical leadership skills, including the ability to influence across teams.

Nice to have

Experience with Terraform, OPA/Rego, Sentinel, AWS Service Control Policies, Azure Policy, or GCP Organization Policies.
Experience with Wiz, Prisma Cloud, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, ADX, or Sumo Logic.
Knowledge of LLM, agent orchestration, and AI governance frameworks for enterprise security.
