Revenue Cycle Support Analyst (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Remote; access to DHA/DoD systems and security authorization is required.

What you will do

• Provide operational and analytical support for Defense Health Agency Uniform Business Office revenue-cycle initiatives.
• Review front-end, mid-cycle, and backend healthcare revenue-cycle processes.
• Maintain, validate, review, and optimize Charge Description Master data and charge-capture processes.
• Analyze claims, charges, denials, payments, and reimbursement data to identify discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support coding, billing, revenue-integrity reviews, audits, data validation, and quality-assurance activities.
• Develop reports, KPIs, process documentation, standard operating procedures, and recommendations for project leadership and client stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in healthcare revenue cycle, medical coding, billing, revenue integrity, reimbursement, or related healthcare operations.
• Current professional coding certification such as CPC, CCS, CCS-P, COC, CIC, or an equivalent nationally recognized certification.
• Working knowledge of CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, coding guidelines, and hospital or professional billing and reimbursement processes.
• Experience reviewing healthcare revenue-cycle data and documenting discrepancies, findings, and recommendations.
• Strong analytical, research, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required DHA/DoD system and security access.

Nice to have

• Charge Description Master maintenance, review, audit, or optimization experience.
• Experience with charge capture, revenue integrity, coding audits, claims, denials, accounts receivable, payment analysis, or payer reimbursement.
• Knowledge of Medicare, TRICARE, commercial payer, healthcare compliance, and billing requirements.
• Experience supporting the Military Health System, DHA, Department of Defense, VA, or another federal healthcare environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Business, Finance, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute.
