USAF - Software Quality Assurance Engineer (QA Automation)

What you will do

• Review requirements, designs, interfaces, and acceptance criteria for completeness, consistency, clarity, and testability.
• Develop and maintain quality procedures, test plans, test cases, expected results, and requirements-to-test traceability.
• Plan and execute functional, integration, regression, system, exploratory, and API testing across approved on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
• Coordinate authorized test data and representative test environments with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams.
• Support automated testing and CI/CD quality checks, identify coverage gaps, document defects, and coordinate triage and resolution.
• Prepare test reports, quality metrics, defect summaries, release recommendations, and technical evidence for Government review, authorized deployment, ATO, and continuous ATO activities.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience in software quality assurance and testing of enterprise applications or services.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, API, and automated testing.
• Working knowledge of software development lifecycles, DevSecOps, CI/CD, configuration control, authorized test data, and repeatable test environments.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, defect analysis, and technical coordination skills.
