QA Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, United States; relocation to the United States is accepted. Office attendance at the Rincon Hill office is required 5–6 days per week.

What you will do

• Lead QA strategy across government, billing, childcare-provider, and AI-powered products.
• Use AI tools to generate test cases, maintain automation, explore edge cases, and accelerate debugging while protecting customer and government data.
• Build UI and API test coverage, validate data integrity with SQL, and integrate regression and smoke tests into development and release processes.
• Test invoices, payments, refunds, calculations, reconciliation, failed transactions, retries, rounding, and duplicate charges.
• Lead government user acceptance testing, clarify requirements, document results, and coordinate fixes with stakeholders.
• Track escaped defects, recurring issues, test reliability, and release risks to improve quality practices.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in QA or quality engineering with ownership from requirements through verified fixes.
• Strong skills in test automation, API testing, SQL, debugging, and modern software development practices.
• Experience using AI extensively to improve the speed and depth of testing, with the ability to validate its results.
• Clear communication with engineering, product, and government stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile teams and participating in Scrum ceremonies.
• Must be based in San Francisco or willing to relocate to the United States and work from the Rincon Hill office 5–6 days per week.

• Experience with government systems, billing or payments, childcare software, or government-facing UAT.
