Feature Technical Direction Intern (Animation)

Location: Glendale, California, USA. Hybrid role requiring work from the office at least three days per week, increasing to at least four days per week from January 5, 2026. Candidates must be willing to work in Glendale and provide their own relocation, housing, and transportation.

What you will do

• Observe and assist Technical Directors with production pipeline tools.
• Develop software tools and applications for artists working on large-scale feature animation productions.
• Test, debug, and extend existing tools and systems.
• Provide technical support to production artists.
• Support administrative and data-wrangling tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Programming experience and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Pursuing an associate, bachelor’s, or graduate degree, or having graduated within the previous six months.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be willing to work in Glendale, California, and provide own relocation, housing, and transportation.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Studies in computer science, computer engineering, visualization, or digital media.
• Experience with Python, C++, or JavaScript and knowledge of computer graphics.
• Experience with Jira, Git, Maya, Houdini, or Nuke.
• Interest in feature animation and familiarity with UX or UI design and development.
