Senior Mechanical Engineer

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimise mechanical products and assemblies using engineering principles, CAD modelling, simulation, and lifecycle requirements.
• Plan and execute mechanical engineering work packages, including scope, deliverables, schedules, costs, and technical requirements.
• Develop manufacturing solutions involving tooling, jigs, fixtures, assembly processes, test equipment, and production documentation.
• Support suppliers, production teams, and product transfers to establish repeatable manufacturing capability.
• Verify and maintain mechanical designs through analysis, prototype evaluation, testing, fault investigation, configuration control, and technical support.
• Evaluate new technologies, materials, manufacturing methods, design standards, and engineering tools to improve product performance.

Requirements

• BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6–8 years of experience in mechanical product design, development, and industrialisation within a product-development or manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CAD modelling, engineering simulation, design analysis, verification, testing, manufacturing support, and product lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, product design, engineering drawings, finite element analysis, structural, thermal and dynamic analysis, tolerance analysis, and materials selection.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering project teams.
• Technical proficiency with Creo/Pro-E, ANSYS, Creo Simulate, FloEFD, MATLAB, Python, or MathCAD.
