Senior Engineering Manager Operations (Mining)

What you will do

• Lead engineering standards and technical strategies for electrical, control and instrumentation, automation, and energy disciplines.
• Support mining and processing sites with engineering and maintenance resources to deliver production targets and capital projects.
• Monitor compliance with legal, environmental, occupational health and safety, and risk-management standards.
• Drive continuous improvement, asset optimisation, reliability, maintainability, and preventative-maintenance initiatives.
• Develop and implement asset-management strategies covering EAM planning, asset criticality, lifecycle costs, supply-chain interfaces, and physical life-of-asset plans.
• Build stakeholder relationships and contribute to mine, processing, engineering, maintenance, and succession-planning strategies.

Requirements

• Degree or National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Government Certificate of Competency under MHSA and/or the OHS Act.
• At least 10 years of relevant engineering experience in electrical, control and instrumentation, and energy functions within mining or processing operations.
• Experience managing technical standards, continuous improvement, and capital projects across business units.
• Technical knowledge of MV and HV electrical systems, energy distribution networks, efficiency-improvement projects, and control systems from Siemens, Rockwell, or Schneider.
• Advanced capability in asset lifecycle cost management and expert experience designing preventative-maintenance, risk-management, and safety-improvement programmes.
