TL;DR
Industrialisation Technologist (ERP/Manufacturing): Establishing production-ready product structures, master data, BOMs, routings, and manufacturing operations for electronic products with an accent on ERP configuration, engineering change control, and component compliance. Focus on industrialising military electronics, resolving engineering-data discrepancies, managing component lifecycle risks, and verifying assembly standard times against production performance.

Location: Pretoria, South Africa; onsite industrialisation role.

What you will do

  • Establish and maintain ERP product master data, bills of materials, product structures, part numbers, manufacturing routings, and assembly standard times.
  • Translate approved engineering information into controlled, complete, and production-ready manufacturing baselines.
  • Maintain part master records, component statuses, supplier information, and approved engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Review component and PCB information for obsolescence, RoHS, and REACH compliance.
  • Coordinate industrialisation readiness reviews with CAD, Engineering, and technical stakeholders to resolve discrepancies before production implementation.
  • Analyse manufacturing operations and standard times against production performance and implement justified adjustments.

Requirements

  • Advanced Diploma or BTech in Electronic Engineering or a related qualification.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a military electronics environment, preferably in industrialisation, production engineering, or a related technical role.
  • Practical experience with electronic product structures, manufacturing processes, and engineering data in a production environment.
  • Experience using ERP systems in a technical or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of ERP part master data, BOM creation, product structure management, manufacturing routing, engineering change implementation, and technical documentation interpretation.
  • Experience with Qmuzik, Altium Vault, Microsoft SharePoint, or similar systems.
