Senior Data Engineer (Azure/Databricks)

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and data products using Azure Synapse and Databricks.
• Develop scalable ELT/ETL frameworks, reusable components, APIs, and data models.
• Analyze existing data products and improve reliability, scalability, data quality, maintainability, and operational performance.
• Help evolve Azure Synapse platforms toward Databricks using Lakehouse and Medallion Architecture principles.
• Improve CI/CD, testing, monitoring, data quality controls, and operational processes.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners, and engineering teams while driving technical initiatives independently.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Experience designing ELT/ETL pipelines, data models, and data warehousing solutions in Azure environments.
• Experience with Lakehouse architectures, Medallion Architecture, Delta Lake, and/or Unity Catalog.
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, Azure Data Factory, Git, and API-based integrations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, ownership, and independent problem-solving skills.

• Experience working in a large enterprise environment.
