Software Engineer II (AI)

Base salary: $109,500–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, build, deploy, and operate full-stack AI applications and own features through ongoing improvement.
• Build AI-powered experiences for knowledge discovery, conversational analytics, workflow automation, and business artifact creation.
• Integrate language models, enterprise systems, and reusable tools into secure workflows with human review and reliable error handling.
• Evaluate AI features using representative tasks, automated checks, user feedback, quality metrics, latency, and cost.
• Partner with product, engineering, business, and supply chain stakeholders to turn operational challenges into practical solutions.
• Improve reliability, performance, and release quality through automated testing, monitoring, and CI/CD.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering applications.
• Experience with React and TypeScript or comparable frontend technologies, plus backend services and APIs using Python, Java, TypeScript, or a similar language.
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases and AWS or a comparable cloud platform.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered systems and using AI-assisted development tools, including validating generated code and correcting unsuccessful approaches.
• Ability to design, test, troubleshoot, and deliver maintainable features while understanding language-model limitations, sensitive-data handling, evaluation, and human oversight.

Nice to have

• Experience with language-model APIs, retrieval-augmented generation, tool calling, conversational interfaces, or AI approval workflows.
• Experience evaluating AI outputs and using feedback to improve product quality.
• Experience with enterprise integrations, reusable platform components, access permissions, automated UI testing, containers, or infrastructure as code.
• Experience building internal tools or software for supply chain, operations, or e-commerce.
