Software Development Engineer II (AI)

Location: Greater Seattle Area, United States

Base pay range for Washington applicants: $134,961–$188,945.40 annually. Other site ranges may differ.

What you will do

• Build AI-native systems for aerospace design and analysis.
• Develop digital infrastructure and applications that help design, build, and test space products.
• Create and maintain production REST and GraphQL APIs and applications.
• Use AWS, Java, React, Python, TypeScript, and GenAI platforms.
• Implement unit and end-to-end testing, CI/CD pipelines, and version-controlled development practices.
• Collaborate across Enterprise Technology while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of non-internship professional software development experience writing production code.
• Strong understanding of software engineering principles and experience translating domain expertise into applications.
• Familiarity with Python, Java, and TypeScript as primary coding languages.
• Experience with production APIs or applications, GitHub or GitLab, CI/CD, testing, and at least one modern database system.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted refugee or asylee.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular or additional Python development.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform.
