General Liability Claims Representative

Location: Home United States; fully remote

Salary: $85,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Handle and supervise complex and litigated commercial general liability and property claims.
• Investigate coverage, liability, damages, and claim circumstances.
• Negotiate and settle large-exposure claims with contractors, public adjusters, attorneys, and other parties.
• Direct and monitor defense counsel, including at mediations and settlement conferences.
• Establish and maintain reserves and payments, provide monetary authority and strategy, and protect client funds.
• Prepare written status and large loss reports and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
• Knowledge of applicable case law, statutory law, DOI regulations, and claims practices.
• Strong analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with diverse audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet critical deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
